DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ AND REVIEW FULL DESCRIPTION WITH YOUR CHILD BEFORE REGISTERING\n\nVolunteer Details and Tasks that we may be performing (Description provided by the Fox Valley Humane Association): \n\nPlease note that we cannot guarantee animal interaction during every visit. \n\nDue to the recent influx of animals and our increasing need for volunteer support\, we have explored various ways for youth volunteers to contribute meaningfully. Here are some of the options we are considering offering:\n\nShelter Maintenance – Dishes and Laundry:\nOne of our most crucial ongoing needs is help with shelter maintenance\, particularly dishes and laundry. Volunteers will wash and dry food bowls\, water dishes\, and other items used by our animals. Additionally\, they will help with washing\, drying\, and folding the laundry\, which includes blankets\, towels\, and bedding for the animals.\n\nPreparing Dinner for the Cats:\nVolunteers will assist in preparing food dishes for our cats. This involves measuring out food\, filling dishes\, and ensuring everything is ready for staff to distribute to the cats at feeding time. It’s a great way to get to know our feline residents and ensure they have a nutritious meal. A chart will be available for the volunteers to follow.\n\nPreparing Dinner for the Dogs:\nVolunteers can help with preparing food dishes for our dogs. This task involves measuring out food\, filling dishes\, and ensuring everything is ready for staff to distribute to the dogs. Proper nutrition is vital for our dogs’ health and well-being. A chart will be available for the volunteers to follow.\n\nCat Socializing:\nSocializing with our cats is a wonderful way to provide them with the attention and enrichment they need. Volunteers will spend time with the cats\, offering gentle attention\, playing with them\, and giving them treats. This helps the cats feel more comfortable and happier\, and it can be very rewarding for the volunteers as well.\n\nKennel Cleaning:\nKeeping our dog kennels clean is essential for the health and well-being of our animals. Volunteers will help by spraying out empty dog kennels\, ensuring they are clean and ready for the next occupant. This task is vital for maintaining a sanitary and comfortable environment for our dogs.\n\nMaking Animal Enrichment:\nVolunteers will create enrichment activities for our animals\, such as filling Kongs for dogs or treat toys for cats. These activities help keep our animals mentally stimulated and happy while they await adoption.\nThe Paws for a Cause Club at the Brigade is a group dedicated to supporting the activities and mission of the Fox Valley Humane Association. Members of the club volunteer their time and efforts to help care for animals\, assist with the maintenance of the humane society\, and promote animal welfare within the community. \nDetails of this club are as follows: \nProgram Duration: 10 weeks \nCost: $10 – covers all 10 sessions. \nTime: 4:15 PM – Approx. 5:45 PM \nDrop-off time at Brigade: 4:15 PM \nPick-up time: Approx. 5:45 PM \nDrop-off & Pick-up Location: The Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade – 109 W Columbian Ave. Neenah\, 54956 \n\nWe will be traveling together in a Brigade van to the Fox Valley Humane Association.\nIf you live closer to the Fox Valley Humane Association and prefer to meet us there\, please let Monicca know at the time of registration.\n\nVolunteer Duration: We will arrive to the Humane Society at 4:30 PM and provide volunteer work until 5:30 PM. \nThis club meets on the following Tuesdays: \n\nJanuary 7\nJanuary 14\nJanuary 21\nJanuary 28\nFebruary 4\nFebruary 11\nFebruary 18\nFebruary 25\nMarch 4\nMarch 11\n\nAttire: Please dress in clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. \nAdult Volunteer: We are looking for one other adult volunteer willing to provide supervision for the entire duration of the volunteer program. If you are interested in volunteering with us\, please reach out to mwinters@bgbrigade.com. Volunteers must complete a background check at least two weeks prior to the start of the activity. \n*The max capacity of this club is 10 participants. The campaign includes new races\, backgrounds\, spells\, monsters\, magic items\, and a big\, wide world to explore! The campaign will focus on troubles in Humblewood that seem to originate from the Scorched Grove\, an ashen plain with elemental magic that leads to unseasonal dryness\, crop failures\, and unusually aggressive emberbat clouds. Is it the Bandit Coalition\, or is it something more sinister?
