DESCRIPTION:The Climbing Club focuses on safe climbing\, climbing techniques\, and having fun! Instructor Bill Kelly is a seasoned climber with a lot of expertise to share. All participants must have a release form signed by a parent/guardian on file. Parents\, guardians\, and guests are welcome! It meets on Mondays from 4:30-6:30 PM. \nCost: $20 for 6 months. Climbing Club operates year-round. The total cost for all sessions is $20. We ask participants to re-register every 6 months. \nParticipants younger than 5th grade are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent.  \nClimbing Club Dates:\nMarch 9\, 16\, 23\, 30\nApril 6\, 13\, 20\, 27\nMay 4\, 11\, 18 \nThe club is limited to 12 new climbers\, and an unlimited number of returning climbers are welcome. \nPlease note: This is a popular club with limited space. Members who are not actively participating when present will be asked to leave the club to free up a spot for a child on the waiting list.

DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ AND REVIEW FULL DESCRIPTION WITH YOUR CHILD BEFORE REGISTERING\n\nVolunteer Details and Tasks that we may be performing (Description provided by the Fox Valley Humane Association): \n\nPlease note that we cannot guarantee animal interaction during every visit. \n\nDue to the recent influx of animals and our increasing need for volunteer support\, we have explored various ways for youth volunteers to contribute meaningfully. Here are some of the options we are considering offering:\n\nShelter Maintenance – Dishes and Laundry:\nOne of our most crucial ongoing needs is help with shelter maintenance\, particularly dishes and laundry. Volunteers will wash and dry food bowls\, water dishes\, and other items used by our animals. Additionally\, they will help with washing\, drying\, and folding the laundry\, which includes blankets\, towels\, and bedding for the animals.\n\nPreparing Dinner for the Cats:\nVolunteers will assist in preparing food dishes for our cats. This involves measuring out food\, filling dishes\, and ensuring everything is ready for staff to distribute to the cats at feeding time. It’s a great way to get to know our feline residents and ensure they have a nutritious meal. A chart will be available for the volunteers to follow.\n\nPreparing Dinner for the Dogs:\nVolunteers can help with preparing food dishes for our dogs. This task involves measuring out food\, filling dishes\, and ensuring everything is ready for staff to distribute to the dogs. Proper nutrition is vital for our dogs’ health and well-being. A chart will be available for the volunteers to follow.\n\nCat Socializing:\nSocializing with our cats is a wonderful way to provide them with the attention and enrichment they need. Volunteers will spend time with the cats\, offering gentle attention\, playing with them\, and giving them treats. This helps the cats feel more comfortable and happier\, and it can be very rewarding for the volunteers as well.\n\nKennel Cleaning:\nKeeping our dog kennels clean is essential for the health and well-being of our animals. Volunteers will help by spraying out empty dog kennels\, ensuring they are clean and ready for the next occupant. This task is vital for maintaining a sanitary and comfortable environment for our dogs.\n\nMaking Animal Enrichment:\nVolunteers will create enrichment activities for our animals\, such as filling Kongs for dogs or treat toys for cats. These activities help keep our animals mentally stimulated and happy while they await adoption.\nThe Paws for a Cause Club at the Brigade is a group dedicated to supporting the activities and mission of the Fox Valley Humane Association. Members of the club volunteer their time and efforts to help care for animals\, assist with the maintenance of the humane society\, and promote animal welfare within the community. \nDetails of this club are as follows: \nProgram Duration: 10 weeks \nCost: $10 – covers all 10 sessions. \nTime: 4:15 PM – Approx. 5:45 PM \nDrop-off time at Brigade: 4:15 PM \nPick-up time: Approx. 5:45 PM \nDrop-off & Pick-up Location: The Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade – 109 W Columbian Ave. Neenah\, 54956 \n\nWe will be traveling together in a Brigade van to the Fox Valley Humane Association.\nIf you live closer to the Fox Valley Humane Association and prefer to meet us there\, please let Monicca know at the time of registration.\n\nVolunteer Duration: We will arrive to the Humane Society at 4:30 PM and provide volunteer work until 5:30 PM. \nThis club meets on the following Tuesdays: \n\nJanuary 7\nJanuary 14\nJanuary 21\nJanuary 28\nFebruary 4\nFebruary 11\nFebruary 18\nFebruary 25\nMarch 4\nMarch 11\n\nAttire: Please dress in clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. \nAdult Volunteer: We are looking for one other adult volunteer willing to provide supervision for the entire duration of the volunteer program. Here are some of the options we are considering offering:\n\nShelter Maintenance – Dishes and Laundry:\nOne of our most crucial ongoing needs is help with shelter maintenance\, particularly dishes and laundry. Volunteers will wash and dry food bowls\, water dishes\, and other items used by our animals. Additionally\, they will help with washing\, drying\, and folding the laundry\, which includes blankets\, towels\, and bedding for the animals.\n\nPreparing Dinner for the Cats:\nVolunteers will assist in preparing food dishes for our cats. This involves measuring out food\, filling dishes\, and ensuring everything is ready for staff to distribute to the cats at feeding time. It’s a great way to get to know our feline residents and ensure they have a nutritious meal. A chart will be available for the volunteers to follow.\n\nPreparing Dinner for the Dogs:\nVolunteers can help with preparing food dishes for our dogs. This task involves measuring out food\, filling dishes\, and ensuring everything is ready for staff to distribute to the dogs. Proper nutrition is vital for our dogs’ health and well-being. A chart will be available for the volunteers to follow.\n\nCat Socializing:\nSocializing with our cats is a wonderful way to provide them with the attention and enrichment they need. Volunteers will spend time with the cats\, offering gentle attention\, playing with them\, and giving them treats. This helps the cats feel more comfortable and happier\, and it can be very rewarding for the volunteers as well.\n\nKennel Cleaning:\nKeeping our dog kennels clean is essential for the health and well-being of our animals. Volunteers will help by spraying out empty dog kennels\, ensuring they are clean and ready for the next occupant. This task is vital for maintaining a sanitary and comfortable environment for our dogs.\n\nMaking Animal Enrichment:\nVolunteers will create enrichment activities for our animals\, such as filling Kongs for dogs or treat toys for cats. These activities help keep our animals mentally stimulated and happy while they await adoption.\nThe Paws for a Cause Club at the Brigade is a group dedicated to supporting the activities and mission of the Fox Valley Humane Association. SUMMARY:Karate Club
DESCRIPTION:Karate is a great and fun way to exercise. It enhances your confidence\, teaches you how to defend yourself\, helps you develop patience\, and encourages your growth! Instructor Pat Claggett is a great teacher with an excellent commitment to his students. Participants will have the opportunity to test and earn belts and should plan on attending at least one day per week. \nKarate is open to youth in grades 2nd-12th. \nKarate meets on Mondays (5:00-6:15 PM)\, Wednesdays (5:00-6:15 PM)\, and Saturdays (8:00-10:00 AM). \nCost: $20/6 months. SUMMARY:Climbing Club
DESCRIPTION:The Climbing Club focuses on safe climbing\, climbing techniques\, and having fun! Instructor Bill Kelly is a seasoned climber with a lot of expertise to share. All participants must have a release form signed by a parent/guardian on file. Parents\, guardians\, and guests are welcome! It meets on Mondays from 4:30-6:30 PM. \nCost: $20 for 6 months. Climbing Club operates year-round. The total cost for all sessions is $20. We ask participants to re-register every 6 months. \nParticipants younger than 5th grade are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent.  \nClimbing Club Dates:\nMarch 9\, 16\, 23\, 30\nApril 6\, 13\, 20\, 27\nMay 4\, 11\, 18 \nThe club is limited to 12 new climbers\, and an unlimited number of returning climbers are welcome. \nPlease note: This is a popular club with limited space. Members who are not actively participating when present will be asked to leave the club to free up a spot for a child on the waiting list.

We’re kicking off the day bright and early\, hitting the road to Chicago for a jam-packed trip that’s sure to make waves. From indulging in Chicago’s world-famous pizza at Giordano’s to exploring the mesmerizing marine life at Shedd Aquarium\, this is a day you won’t want to miss. Along the way\, we’ll stop for a tasty bite at Culvers to refuel before heading home. Grab your sense of adventure\, and let’s dive into an exciting journey together! \nShedd Aquarium Day Trip Itinerary: \nDeparture \n\nMeet at Brigade at 7:30 AM\nBegin the journey to Chicago! (Estimated drive time: 3 hours 30 minutes)\n\nLunch Stop: \nArrive at Giordano’s Pizza around 11:00 AM \n\nEnjoy Chicago’s famous deep-dish pizza!\nPizza is included in the cost of the trip.\nStudents should bring their own money for soda or any additional purchases.\n\nShedd Aquarium: \n\nArrive at Shedd Aquarium at approx. 12:30 PM\nExplore the aquarium from 12:30-4:00 PM\nExperience aquatic wonders\, from sharks to jellyfish!\n\nDinner Stop (Cost not included): \n\nDepart Shedd at 4:00 PM.\nArrive at Culvers in Kenosha (5220 Green Bay Rd.) at approx. 5:30 PM\nEnjoy a quick meal before heading home.\nPlease note\, Culvers is not included in the cost of this trip. All chaperones must complete a background check at least two weeks prior to the trip. Chaperones are responsible for the cost of any personal purchases and dinner (pizza and aquarium ticket are provided). The chaperone’s primary role is to assist with supervising the group of kids. This includes helping them stay on schedule\, navigating the aquarium\, and ensuring they’re following group guidelines. \n
