Work Week

2024 Spring Work Week Dates:

Adult Work Week May 3-12,2024

Have you ever wanted to give back to Camp Onaway now that you are an adult? Work Week is your chance to put your “skills” to work. We need help painting, stacking firewood, cleaning, constructing, and a laundry list of other tasks in order to prepare Onaway for the 1,000 youth who will be staying at our island.

Coleader Work Weekend | May 17-19, 2024

Coleader Work Weekend is a great opportunity to hang out with other 10th-12th grade Brigaders and show some love to the island at the same time! We need help with a laundry list of other tasks in order to prepare Onaway for the 1,000 youth who will be staying at our island this summer.

You can also drop by/call the Brigade office at (920) 725-3983, or you can email us at brigade@bgbrigade.com to sign up and let us know what day(s) you’re able to come.

FAQ’s:

  • We work during the day from breakfast until dinner, with a break for lunch. After dinner is free time to sit by the fire and socialize. Description text goes here

  • All adults ages 21 or older are welcome. Bring your friends!

  • For Coleader Weekend, youth in 10th grade and older can participate. Non-brigaders are also welcome!

  • All skill sets and experience levels are welcome! Examples of projects include setting up the swim area and taking supplies out, cutting wood, general building cleaning, supply storage for the summer, getting the boat house prepped and ready, and so much more!

  • You should bring work clothes, leather work gloves, and “Onaway Standard Equipment” (sleeping bag, shower supplies, etc.)

If you want to bring your own tools, please label them with your name before you come so they don’t get mixed up with the rest.

  • Yes! If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know before Work Week so we can notify the cook.

  • Yes, any amount of help helps.

Thanks for helping create the "magic" of Onaway for all our campers!
