Camp Onaway Information
Get ready for Camp Onaway! Here you will find all of the resources you need regarding Camp Onaway transportation, camp rules, and our recommended packing list.
Campers, volunteer leaders, and staff attending Brigade led camps are subject to rules to ensure safety for
everyone. Most rules are explained during orientation on the first day of each camping session. The rules
regarding the following subjects are brought to your attention now due to their importance.
Campers who violate these rules may be sent home because…
1.We are entrusted with the tremendous responsibility for the safety and well-being of each camper by
their parents.
2. We must protect the lives and possessions of our campers, leaders, staff, and the camp itself.
3. We aim to maintain a high standard of ethical conduct.
4. We are bound to compliance with state and local laws and regulations.
Right to Privacy
Peers and adult volunteers are prohibited from searching camper belongings.
Harassment, Hazing, & Bullying
There is zero tolerance for bullying and harassment at Onaway. Anyone who knowingly creates an unpleasant
or hostile situation for another, especially by uninvited or unwelcome verbal, physical, or sexual conduct
is subject to disciplinary action up to removal from Onaway. This includes forcing another person to do
dangerous, humiliating, exploitative, or painful things.
Theft/Vandalism
Any level of theft or vandalism, including the malicious damage or destruction of property, will not be tolerated.
Illegal & Illicit Substances
Use and/or possession of alcohol, nicotine, tobacco, vape products, controlled substances, paraphernalia, and
other intoxicants not listed are absolutely prohibited both on Onaway itself and while participating in any camp
activities away from the island.
Leaving Onaway
Campers are not permitted to leave Brigade led camps without express Camp Manager approval anytime
other than designated activity times (canoe trips, open boating time, etc.).
Cell Phone/Electronic Devices
Cell phones and any device that can access the internet are strictly prohibited for campers.
It is our highest priority to serve the best interests of youth by creating an atmosphere in our camps that is welcoming and safe for all.

- Sleeping bag/Sheets & blanket for a twin bed
- Pillow
- Tennis shoes and/or active sandals
- Water shoes/Sandals (due to zebra mussels)
- Flip Flops
- Plenty of underwear
- Plenty of socks
- T-Shirts/Long Sleeve Shirts
- Toothpaste & Toothbrush
- Towels for beach & bath – at least 2
- Shampoo
- Soap
- Comb/Brush
- Glasses or contacts – Bring an extra pair (if applicable)
- Sunglasses
- Flashlight with batteries
- 2 plastic bags for dirty clothes
- Several Band-Aids
- Jacket
- Sweatshirts
- Fishing Gear/License (can also use camp gear)
- 2 pairs of pants – Athletic or jeans
- Pajamas
- Shorts
- Swimsuit
- Raincoat
- Stationary, Stamps, Pens
- Mosquito Repellent
- Sunscreen
- Empty water bottle
- 3 old rags for dusting
- 8 Clothespins
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Camera (not a phone)
- Musical instrument – if you play one
- Small pack for possible day trip
- A smile and good disposition!

Camp Onaway Transportation Information
Bus departures and returns are from the parking lot across the street from The Boys & Girls Brigade building at 109 W Columbian Ave in Neenah, WI. NOTE: Onaway Adventure Camp (OAC) departs and arrives at our warehouse located at 715 Fairwood Dr. Neenah, WI.
If your child is arriving by car, please arrive at the Onaway boat landing at E1703 Pine Ridge Lane in Waupaca. (Onaway Adventure Camp (OAC) meets at Harman Creek State Park group sites).
We encourage all campers to ride the bus from Neenah to get the full camp experience.

Leadership Training Camp (LTC)
Bussing to camp: Arrive at 8:00 Am-8:15 Am. Buses leave at 8:30 Am sharp.
Bussing from camp: Buses return at noon
Boat Landing to Camp: Arrive at 8:15 AM
Boat Landing from Camp: Pick up at 11:30 AM
Boys 2, Boys 3, Boys 4, Girls 1, Girls 2, Girls 3, and Girls 4
Bussing to Camp: Arrive between 1:00-1:15 Pm. Buses leave at 1:30 PM sharp.
Bussing from Camp: Buses return at Noon
Boat Landing to Camp: Arrive at 1:15 PM
Boat Landing from camp: Pick up at 11:00 AM
Onaway Adventure Camp (OAC)
Bussing to Camp: Arrive at warehouse (715 Fairwood Drive, Neenah) between 8:00 AM-8:15 AM. Buses leave at 8:30 AM sharp.
Bussing from Camp: Buses return at noon.
To Camp: Hartman Creek State Park Group Sites – Arrive at noon.
Boat Landing from Camp: Pick up at 11:00 AM
Boys Anchor & Girls Anchor
Bussing to Camp: Arrive between 1:00 PM-1:15 PM. Buses leave at 1:30 PM sharp.
Bussing from Camp: Buses return at 5:00 PM
Boat Landing to Camp: Arrive at 1:15 PM
Boat Landing from Camp: Pick up at 4:00 PM
