Devil’s Lake State Park Hike

Calling all experienced hikers! Join us for a hike around Devil’s Lake.

Destination: Devil’s Lake State Park, Baraboo, Wisconsin (Approximately a 2-hour drive from the Brigade)

Departure: From the Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade at 8:00 AM

Return: Approximately 6:00 PM

Drive Time: About 2 hours each way

Hike Details: 

• Length: Entire loop; approximately 3+ miles
• Difficulty: Strenuous, with steep climbs, descents, stairways, and bluffs/cliffs
• Target Participants: Experienced hikers comfortable with long distances and steep hills

Packing List:

• Plenty of water
• Snacks (High in protein and carbs for quick energy)
• Sack lunch or money for on-site restaurant
• Sunscreen
• Optional: Money for ice cream shop and gift shop

Lunch: We will stop for lunch at the half-way point (Where the restaurant/ice cream/gift shop are located)

This hike is a great opportunity for experienced hikers to challenge themselves and enjoy the beautiful scenery at Devil’s Lake!
